What a wonderful place to get away from the routine of everyday life. Peaceful and beautiful setting. The rooms are rustic cabin style, loved the long deck right outside our back door that overlooked the pond. Enjoyed watching the duck, geese, swans and other water fowl and the beautiful sunset. The food was amazing, superbly talented chefs. The cheese is delicious, made on site. The cabin rooms have two full size beds, wish they were at least a queen size. May be able to get queen in a cottage room. We brought our bikes and explored the property, saw the berry orchard and farm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great experience, would definitely like to visit again.

My wife and I had a great time at the lodge. Your staff are some of the nicest people we have ever encountered at a hotel or resort. We are already planning our next visit. Also want to suggest your facility for our next family reunion. Great get-a-way to relax, fish, shoot skeet and tour the cheese production and visit the cows. Thanks again for a great weekend and much needed getaway for my wife and I. Special thanks to Kurt, Chris, Ryan and the food service staff (did not get their names) and our massage therapist.

Room Tip: Go for the private cabins....well worth it.

Now, where can you go where you can shoot skeet in the morning and go fishing afterwards, visit a dairy farm where they make excellent cheese, go to the spa in the afternoon, have drinks in some of the most rustic little get areas imaginable surrounded by "taxidermed" animals every which way you look, sit down to a wonderfully prepared and served dinner, and then shoot some pool before turning in at your room, which is like a cabin in the woods overlooking a lake? A long question, but a simple answer. Few destinations besides Flat Creek Lodge. We stopped there on a motorcycle trip and didn't even mind that the bikes got seriously dusty from the dirt roads on which the resort is located. And we'll be back to attend some of the other events that the lodge puts on, including Thanksgiving and various wine tastings. If you are interested in an out of the ordinary experience, we highly recommend this place for its natural setting, its people and service and the activities.

Room Tip: There are big cabins across the lake, but we liked the small cozy rooms close to the restaurant, spa and game room.

Flat Creek Lodge, just east of Swainsboro, Georgia comes pretty close to perfect. They are a very environmentally conscious hunting & fishing resort. The Lodge is in a natural setting with rustic cottages and lodge rooms, offering rest and relaxation for anyone seeking to revive or rejuvenate themselves. You can be pampered at the Spa with a full body massage, work out at the fitness room or take a relaxing dip at the Japanese Bathhouse. There is a gift shop and an Outfitters Store. The Dining Hall offers a sumptuous meal, prepared by their remarkable Chef. The restaurant has a waterfront view of swans and other waterfowl that glide past your window while you enjoy your dinner. You can sample the farm raised mushrooms, do a little wine tasting or try out one of the award winning cheeses created on the farm by their Master Cheese Maker. The staff at the Lodge are friendly and pleasant and will go out of their way to accommodate the guests. If you have an opportunity to visit Flat Creek Lodge don't pass it up. Reservations are required and they seem to stay pretty busy so you might have to make them well in advance. They really will show you what southern comfort is all about.

Room Tip: Just tell them what you want...
