Check out the beautiful craftsmanship and stone in our Capitol Building. Check out your elected officials...make sure they hear your requests for their service to all our citizens!
Check out the history noted all over in the building on placards, etc..
Definitely go downstairs and check out the gift shop and maybe buy and Idaho State Flag to display.
Check out the events held there like the lighting of the Christmas tree and the choir/band that plays around that time, also.
Enjoy your visit.
Parking is available only two or three blocks away in the parking garages on Main St. and on Idaho St..

Went on Sunday. No traffic. Easy free parking. Not staffed, but very open and accessible. Good displays! Good views rom the fourth level. Very pretty exterior and capital park has nice grounds.

Boise has many attractions! Our Parks, Outdoor Recreation, Arts & Culture, Historical stops such as Warm Springs Ave are all part of what makes Boise, Boise! But when you arrive may I suggest you start at our Capitol building? It is not to be missed! It is public friendly and just beautiful! Drive into town and take Vista Ave N into Boise, this route will give you a beautiful opportunity to take in as much of the City and the Capitol as visually possible!
Our Capitol building has simple tidy landscaping, massive columns inside and out, stunning marble floors, and is in the heart of down town! I would encourage you to check it out!

Nice place to visit. Grounds and building both well kept. Interesting to walk the halls and take a few pix.

Boise's main attractions other than nature and outdoor activities are limited, but the state capitol building is near the top of such sites. All of the marble, Corinthian columned floors were accessible including the out-of-session state Senate and House of Representatives chambers. There are some nice views from the windows; especially the view south towards the train depot. The bottom floor has an informative display on state history and the processes of government, and an overpriced but representative gift shop. Outside, the grounds are tidy and pleasant with small parks and other government buildings adjacent. Parking is limited.
