First time visitor to this brand restaurant and upon first glance very similar in style to a Cafe Rio/Chipotle/Freebirds/Qdoba/Subway kind of format. The food is essentially all there- you choose the dish and then tell them how you want them to style it for you. We don't have this brand where I live so we tried it out on a recommendation.

The tortillas were prepared fresh and everything on the line looked good. There was a line of customers when we arrived but with enough staff on the serving side it moved pretty quick. Food overall was pretty tasty, good sized portions, solid purchase. The drink area offered an Horchata style drink?

The dining area was small and pretty full but tables turned over pretty regularly. The dining room needed attention after their dinner rush and I'm sure it would look better once staff caught up to the messiness.

The thing that most impressed me about eating at Costa Vida was the steak strips in my burrito. Sure, the tortillas and fresh and tasty as well, but the meat is excellent. It's a little pricy, but then again so is everything else in Rexburg. I'm not quite sure why the restaurants are all so expensive in Rexburg. (One exception is Pizza Pie Café, which is why they are always so busy). All in all, Costa Vida is worth trying as an alternative to Café Rio. I was more impressed with the meat at CV than the meat at CR.

It's a fast food restaurant, nothing is made to order. Food is sitting in a warmer and assembled at the counter. You can your food on a tray. Food was just ok and the dinning area needed to be cleaned. Would not return.

Costa always has great tasting food. The place is usually busy, but always seems to have room when your looking for a seat. The management is much better then the new Cafe Rio over by campus. They are very efficient with their line. Quick to get your food made.

Not sure whether you would call this Tex Mex or imitation Baja mexican food. Poor service, overpriced and (student) staff more focused on interacting with one another.

"Deal Killer" is when a Mexican food restaurant charges you for a tiny cup of salsa. Really the size of a 1/2 dollar and you have to pay for it.

SKIP this place and enjoy a much better meal at the alternative Cafe Rio. Pleasant staff and great food for the price. There are locations in Rexburg and Idaho Falls.
