Sweet Magnolia Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #5 of 7 Sandpoint B&B and Inns
Reviewed 9 September 2016

My husband and I stayed one night as we were visiting Sandpoint from Moscow, Idaho for the weekend. We just moved from the south (Atlanta) and were excited to see this Bed and Breakfast. We were not disappointed. Cal and Jill had also lived in the south and indeed know how to give southern hospitality. The rooms were really pretty and clean. Cal and Jill were super friendly and the inn was so close to everything in downtown within walking distance. Cal cooked up a delicious breakfast Sunday morning catering to our vegetarian diet. We would indeed come back and highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: We stayed in the room at the top of inn with the king size bed (forgot the room) and it was lovely a...

You can't beat the location or the value. Very close walk to the great restaurants and bars in Sandpoint. Cal is a great host and breakfast was great! The rooms are charming and have their own bathrooms. Close to the train tracks, but this didn't bother us. You can't avoid it if you want the location! We will stay here again for sure! And Sandpoint itself is a must do if you like craft beer and charming small towns. We will be back!!!

We had the good pleasure of staying at Sweet Magnolia one night. It was very clean, very charming, warm, inviting, and comfortable. The owner, Cal, was a delight, and his cooking was exceptional. We would come again in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: We had great access on the ground floor to the wrap around porch.

We had a great 2 night stay at Sweet Magnolia. Our room was big, very clean and nicely decorated. Cal was a pleasure to chat with and he served a great breakfast with creative and tasty egg dishes, wonderful scones and fresh fruit and yogurt. We enjoyed our evenings on the porch with a glass of wine. The location is perfect for walking to town and the lake. We look forward to returning.

We stayed overnight on our way from Seattle to Banff and really loved Sandpoint. The B&B is in a beautiful historic home. We chose a King sized suite, the room was very large with a private bath/shower and toilet. There were nooks all around the house to relax, read or have a cup of coffee- whatever you desired. Cal and Jill were very warm and welcoming. Cal made a wonderful breakfast and gave us great recommendations for dinner in town. We absolutely loved Baxter's where we enjoyed a wonderful meal alfresco. We also indulged in Coffee and Cone and highly recommend it. The location of the home is just a couple blocks from downtown and so many good restaurants, short walks, the beach and good music. We really loved the location! There was a perfect mix of comfort, privacy and the hosts being available when you needed them. This was our first experience at a B&B and we really loved it.
