stayed during a ski trip for multiple nights. hotel was mostly empty so we had no issues with noise(our group probably was the disturbance most of the time). place is not too old and has had some fairly recent paint/carpet renovation. I really cannot complain about anything as we had a clean room, hot water, an ok free breakfast by most hotel standards and plenty of parking. The hot tub is in what seems to be a converted first floor hotel room and is basically just a 6 person freestanding tub, nice for after skiing but they do not have a pool(many of the competing hotels around town do). Staff was fairly helpful. No onsite restaurant or lounge but walking distance to some stores and fast food. Price was good compared to most hotels in area but we love to swim and will probably pick one of the places nearby that has a pool for slightly more money. If skiing, staying up on mountain is definitely a massive luxury and they have beautiful rooms, pool, hot tubs and the ambiance and peacefulness of being on the mountain but pricing is double to triple what you will pay in town(30 minute drive on a winding sometimes icy /snowy road.
BTW, this hotel is directly on the main road and gets a fair amount of road noise, but the down dies at night and you will probably only hear a little traffic after bedtime.

Room Tip: ask for a backside room if you absolutely need peace(probably also a top floor).

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are glad you enjoyed our staff. As you mentioned we don't have a pool but make sure we are very price competitive for what we do have to offer. Our goal is to make sure we offer the best value over our competitors. Also we have the local SPOT bus in the winter that will take you to the base of the icy road and then Schweitzer will drive you the rest of the way, so icy roads can be avoided!

We came up here to do some skiing on the slopes and needed a reasonable priced hotel. The Fairbridge is perfect. The hot tub is open 24/7 so you can get those ski legs soaked anytime you want. The breakfast is also perfect. Waffles, eggs, juice, coffee. What else do you need!? Desiree at the front desk was very kind and made us feel at home. Cant wait to come back and have a soak in the tub.

Super helpful staff, comfortable rooms, and the 24 hr hot tub is awesome. Big thanks to Desiree! We went skiing, got a good soak to ease the muscles, and then had a hearty breakfast with some nice boilers, waffle action, and hot coffee.

was visiting friends and family in sandpoint as I had done the previous year when found accommodations to be overpriced for what was offered. I was pleasantly surprised this time around to find the fairbridge inn whose rates were very reasonable along with small but clean and tastefully furnished rooms with a friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in sandpoint. a very good value.
