This was one of the worst "dining" experiences I've ever had and certainly my worst experience at a Chili's. Details are below but the service and response from management was deplorable.
1. The hostess did not acknowledge anyone that walked in the door. The group before mine sat down to wait for "a hostess" (I assume since they did not tell her how many was in their party). I asked the hostess if I was supposed to tell her how many are in my party so she can seat me and she said yes but that I'd have to wait because the group that walked in before me hadn't yet talked to her. So I told them she's the hostess and to check in so they could be seated.
2. I arrived around 5:35 pm and was seated by about 5:40 pm. Our waitress did not make it to the table to get our drinks/apps/dinner order until 5:52 pm. (We were sure to order everything at once so as to avoid any more lengthy waits.)
3. I ordered the triple dipper for the table and a bowl of soup for my entree - the bowl of soup came out at 6:07 pm (Yes, my entree came out before anything else, 15 minutes after the order was placed). I asked when we would be getting our appetizer, the waitress looked down, almost said, "You didn't" order an appetizer, but stopped herself and said she'd go check on it. At about 6:15 pm the triple dipper comes out piping hot (sounds like a rush order.) My waitress was about to leave but I was able to stop her to ask for plates for the app (since it is one that you share...). Unfortunately I didn't ask for napkins and we had not been given any.
4. I kept watching the clock and the tables that had arrived after us, their apps and entrees were served long before ours. (Different waiter)
5. Finally at about 6:27 pm I informed the manager that our food still had not come out, our waitress had disappeared, my 5 year old was becoming crabby due to nearly an hour wait time to eat and that my party and I were leaving. The manager did not introduce himself (as neither did the waitress) and kept saying "Oh I'm so sorry. It sounds like you've made up your mind. Thank you for the feedback. I'm so sorry." They were just empty words. I felt as though he did not care at all.
Bonus Complaint: The crispy chicken crispers that came out in the triple dipper app had a huge purple vein going through the center of the meat - Which was completely disgusting to see and turned off my party and I. But as a side note, this is the least of my complaints.
I will never, ever go back to this Chili's (first and last attempt, Sunday November 27, 2016).
I'd also like to note that the restaurant was nowhere near full capacity. It looked like the restaurant was about 35% to 40% seated.
