This small, family-owned bakery on Chicago's southwest side offers many delectable treats, among which are the absolute best kolachky I have ever had and a cheesecake that was recently featured on the local television show "Chicago's Best" - both are made of melt-in-your-mouth pastry crusts and died-and-went-to-heaven fillings. Parking is scarce, and the bakery is frequently crowded, but it is well worth the wait. Order and pay ahead of time to get in the "fast" line on Paczki Day.
Very good bakery sold at Pitcek's been buying their bakery since the 60's. I remember my mother going there every Saturday and parking the car on the side of the building or waiting on the street for a parking place. The Bakery was packed with customers.
