I've stayed at this hotel 4-5 times and I like it for the value and location. Rooms are nice, but some of the carpets could use some cleaning...evidence of previous guests spilling things on the carpet apparent in our corner suite on the 3rd floor. The hotel does struggle a bit with noise carrying up due to the atrium design of the building. This wasn't a problem in our room, due to the sleeping area being farther from the entry to the room, but the set up/tear down for events in the atrium area does carry up into the rooms some. The hotel is still a good value and there are walking paths around the buildings and "lakes" nearby. Also the hotel is pet friendly which is appreciated.

I want to give a big shout out to Ann at the front desk who helped us out when we checked out early AM on May 23rd. Ann was awesome!! Thanks for the help with directions (to avoid the toll road in front of the hotel).!!! Thanks for the really positive attitude too!!

We went over Memorial Day weekend and upon arrival for check in Sunday we were told the pool would be closed the whole day. That already upset us because we were out all day in the 90’s in Chicago and were expecting to be able to use the pool especially on holiday. Also, the marketplace in the lobby that sells Starbucks was also closed Sunday and Monday. There’s a mandatory $10 charge, something like a resort fee that included food/drink coupons. At checkout we didn’t use any of the coupons because the marketplace was closed or any other perks so we just asked if they could not charge us that $10 but the lady said it wasn’t refundable and that fee was disclosed at booking. We booked through orbitz and there is nowhere that says there’s an additional $10 fee. But whatever it’s $10. My issue is she was rude about it I should have told her that the pool closure or marketplace closure wasn’t disclosed at booking lol. Anyways it was a bad experience. The rooms and hotel are nice and modern enough which is a positive that I can say for Westin. It looks like a hospital from the outside though.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. I only stayed here for one night, and it was well worth the price. Very large hotel with great amenities and nice restaurant / bar. If you are flying in from hotel, an uber will cost around $30. Overall, great hotel

We were beat after a day of driving upon arrival. It was so nice to remember that Westin smell. Ahhh. It smells comfortable. We were beat so just ate in a lobby restaurant, which was excellent. Good venue, great service, excellent food as well. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable and the bed was "heavenly". Westin is the best hotel on the planet, bar none. Loved it. NOTE: There was a major convention going on but we hear no noise whatsoever, despite what some other reviews claim. Of course, I do take my hearing aids out at night :-)

The acoustic in the hotel is horrible. The bar is open late and little is done to manage the drunken conventioneers shouting at their top of lungs at midnight. First and only time staying at this run down location.
