We stayed at Hooked on Panama for 3 months. We had a great trip and enjoyed the many birds and animals around the cabins. I caught my first sailfish and fishing trip was a good experience. We did go into Costa Rica to see the scarlet macaws and that was a trip well worth taking. We ate in the restaurant most every night. The seared tuna was my favorite and I am sure I will never have it again where it will measure up. The owners and staff were all very helpful and made the trip very relaxing.
We arrived here to look over the area for long term winter rental. The cabins are very modern and clean, the grounds are spotless. The owners live and are active living on site. They also run a fishing service which was my only disappointment. The boats they have are for larger groups [very nice] But for myself fishing alone the cost of $450 for a half day is too much.
Waking up in the morning listening to the waves and the Howler Monkeys roar is inspiring. This stay is quite a way from town be sure to talk with them about the meal and drink plan. It is affordable and the food, drink, service, and attention was A+++. The beach is walkable at low tide. Not the best for swimming but the pool there is refreshing. If your looking for a great relaxing stay........it is here!!!
Hope we can make it back. Dave and Jim
