The property is rustic with entrance into the kitchen and main rooms upstairs. The kitchen was well equipped and the owners left us a great supply of provisions which was a nice touch and unusual in our experience. We self catered over our three night stay and this was easy to do in this property. For the two of us the property was a comfortable, warm base and perfectly adequate for our needs. We didn't use the hot tub so can't comment on this. It's located a few minutes from a cracking pub (beer and food) and is also close to the river. We didn't use our car during our stay, with access to hiking from the front door. You can easily spend a day hiking and the views along the valley/gorge are beautiful. It's about a 35min walk up the river following the old railway line to Ironbridge which is a great place to visit for pubs, cafes, bespoke shops and many museums. We were here two days and didn't really touch the surface, we will certainly be back and we would make this property our first choice given our experience.
We had such a relaxing time, first time in 20 years and it was worth it, Chloe and Adam are lovely and thoughtful, will definitely be staying again. Everything was just so perfect. Thank you Chloe & Adam
The best accomodation we have ever stayed at . Chloe and Adam could not do enough for us . We loved it and will be back!
Very nice and modern cottage, recently refurbished to a high standard with a Hot tub!
Chloe and Adam were excellent. They have though of everything here, from towels and robes for the hot tub, to milk, bread, snacks and drinks in the kitchen!
The children room is great for anyone with kids, full of toys and books and a car bed which our little boy loved!
The location is ideal for walks and close to Ironbridge, shops and local attractions all within a short walk or drive.
Don't bypass this cottage! Tucked away from the main road a beautiful well maintained haven lies. We stayed for two nights and after an initial daunting journey from London we arrived to a great welcome from Chloe and Adam (and from the friendly four legged friends who were very gentle with the kids) and felt so relaxed from that moment, it was hard to leave. Everything was thought about in great detail, all (and I mean ALL) things we needed for a toddler and baby were there for our use. No need to pack the kitchen sink...toys, books, DVD's, toilet seat and step, crayons, games, a really cool toddler car bed and a travel cot for the baby...what else..snugly towels, kids plates, cups, cutlery, high chair...just literally everything that made it a home from home...not forgetting the Hot tub which really sealed the deal, moonlit relaxing under the starry sky while sipping bubbles, can't fault this stay in any way. Lots of helpful info and directions/recommendations provided for where we wanted to go. All in all, the best bank holiday surprise retreat ever.
Recently stayed 2 nights in the Garden Cottage as an introduction to the area. This historic little cottage has been thoughtfully refurbished. Within easy walking distance are the Coalport China Museum and the Woodbridge Inn, a really great pub/restaurant. We ended up eating there both days, looking out on the river. Ironbridge is a walk or short drive along the river.
Chloe and Adam were welcoming but not intrusive and although the cottage is attached to the main house, we never felt over-looked. The woodland garden was fun to explore. We will certainly be back to try the fishing (you can buy a day or weekend licence from a local pub) and golf (one set of clubs available in cottage), which are both on the doorstep.
