Our stay started out on a good note. Upon check-in we (6 guests) were upgraded to a 2 bdrm villa from our family suite. The villa was nice, roomy and clean. Much more room for the 4 adults and 2 children. The only thing we didn't like about being in the villas was being away from the waterpark. It was a pain dressing in the tiny locker rooms. I have to say they need to expand their locker rooms and provide more efficient and secure lockers. The second thing I noticed at the waterparks was the lack of inter-tubes. I counted maybe a couple dozen tubes for the lazy river and the tube slide. I waited for prob 15 minutes for a tube and finally gave up. They also need some tubes w/ bottoms in them so kids who can't swim can sit in a tube and enjoy the lazy river. Another thing I noticed was there wasn't a life guard at the baby pool. Other then those few things our stay was enjoyed by all.

I just spent the weekend at Grizzly Jack's with my wife and two kids. (5 and 8) The kids throughly enjoyed the waterpark and amusement park. They obviously are the right age for this place. We paid $300 for two nights in a room with 2 Queen sized beds and a sofa. Most of the reviews are right, it is a smaller water park that is showing it's age. All of the offerings; amusement park, waterpark, television staions, restaurants, etc. are limited. But it is not really as bad as people make it out to be. If you go there expecting a 5 star resort, you will be disappoined. But, if you go there for a change of pace and grade the place by your childrens entertainment/happiness level, you will be statisfied.

My only disappointment was attending a "Character Breakfast" at which no characters appeared. Since I had not told the kids what to expect, they were unware of missing element.

During the summer months there appears to be even more activities and diversions available.

The kids had fun, the cabin was very nice but the service was not that great from a couple of the staff members. I loved the cabin it had 3 floors, with 2 whirlpool tubs and fireplaces. Also it was kinda in the sticks so the cell phone reception isn't all that great.

I took 3 granddaughters, ages 12-15 for the weekend. We were very pleased with our accommodations. The water park and amusement park were great. Breakfast Buffet was yummy and a decent price. We purchased refillable cups for soft drinks, which is a great idea. Pizza and Grand Salad Bar were excellent! I read some negative reviews and was a bit skeptical, but pleasantly surprised. We will be returning!

Room Tip: We enjoyed being in the lodge, but with a larger group a cabin or villa would be wonderful. We did h...

My family and a friend's family stayed on Saturday Feb,11, 2011. Originally we had reserved a room in the hotel attached to the water park. When we checked in, there were only two people checking guests in and it took about 30 minutes. The room was not attached to the hotel, but overall, we were pleased with the room. The fireplace in the upstairs bedroom did not work and the upstairs bathroom door scraped on the floor and was very hard to open.

We took the shuttle to the waterpark. When we arrived, there were not any lockers available by the waterpark entrance to secure our belongings. The lockers in the women's locker room do not lock and the lockers in the men's locker room were not working. We spoke to a supervisor to see where we could put our belongings. She was able to find us a vacant locker and opened it with her security code. We did not have the code to the locker and had to find her to access the locker. When we went back to the locker, part of our property had been stolen. There are no security cameras near the lockers. We called the water park manager and filed a report. The manager claimed that this had never happened before. After finishing the report we hurried back to the room because our room key was among the items stolen. Our children were very upset by this incident and did not get to enjoy the rest of the evening. The hotel manager said we could get our money back if we left that night. We went back to the waterpark to meet with the police officer. When we returned to our room, the children were already asleep so we didn't want to upset them any further by leaving that late.

First thing the next morning we went back to talk to the water park manager to see if any of the items had been recovered. He was very rude and he told us there was nothing else he could do and could not speak to us because he needed to get the pool ready to open. We talked to the hotel manager who was not willing to compensate us in any way for our terrible experience. I feel the hotel should assume responsibility for our loss because only a staff member had acces to our locker, we had no way of getting into the locker without her.

I suggest if you stay here, get a room attached to the hotel so you can leave most of your belongings in the room.
