Sometimes, only great service can save an evening. Packed house on a Thursday evening, lots of diners waiting for food. Wine came quickly, followed by a bisque that was thin and devoid of any lobster. No-charged by Peggy. My Mediterranean chicken pasta was edible, but overdosed with capers and olive oil. Jan's fish and chips were by her account excellent. Peggy smoothed it out, had a short discussion about her son graduating from college in Dallas. Thx Peggy.

Stopped in earlier in the week with a party of 7 and were seated right away. We enjoyed a decent meal. Started with the chips and peach salsa and artichoke dip. The starters were served hot and promptly and both were good.
Our main dishes were prepared to order including a couple pasta dishes, a black & blue burger, and fried chicken dinner. One of the pasta dishes was served on the cool side and had to be reheated.
The fried chicken dinner was the best of the bunch and was to everyone's liking.
Tonight we stopped in with a party of 5 and despite 7 open tables inside and several open outside the host indicated the wait would be no less than 50 minutes. He further explained that the kitchen couldn't keep up with demand.
Although I appreciated his honesty I was a bit dismayed at the fact their staff wasn't capable of dealing with a regular crowd.
The food is good however I recommend phoning ahead.

All I can say is good, good, and good. Anything from breaded pork Tenderloin sandwich to salmon or filet of beef. They have an extra special way with Bloody Mary's that involves BACON! The bar or restaurant are comfortable to eat at.

The restaurant and bar are well located, just crossing the street in front of the lake, so if you are lucky and find a table near the window or in the balcony, you will have a good view of the lake.
The food is good but not exceptional, just bar food. Hamburgers, cocktails, nachos, etc.
The service is slow so you need to be patient.

We went with a party of six at dinner. Some of us were eating light--soup and salad for me and my partner. A couple split a steak. Another person got a burger. Onion soup quite good. Fish chowder hard to tell from canned mushroom soup without the bits of fish at the bottom. Spinach salad plentiful but with a boring dressing. Lots of beers on draft, but mostly lagers and mainstream on draft.

Can't complain, though, with a check for six of $120 before tip. Sides at $2 each. Cocktails $8 with call brands, and generous. $6 for a 22 oz beer.
