I love going to this restaurant. It's small, and everything about it screams old school (hence the name). Staff is helpful and the food is delicious and cheap.

We actually drove 15 minutes from another town just for a latte. We were so glad we did. Local flare, a little kitzchie cuteness, and hot espresso!!!

We tried the old school today for the first time. So glad we went! It was a great place for lunch. Hubby had the special of the day, the Rueben sandwich. I had grilled cheese with bacon (because everything's better with bacon). Both were really good sandwiches, esp. the Rueban. Hubby had strawberry/rhubard pie (and I had a bite). It was delicious! All it all we decided we'll definitely return next time we're in Huntingburg. The location is a 'little' out of the way, at the far west end of the business district, but well worth the walk. (We'd parked a couple blocks east.) It's neat and clean. The baked goods looked scrumptious. It was cozy, and the owners were extra nice to us. What more could you ask? Reasonably priced, too. But the good food was the bottom line reason to go to, or go back to, this restaurant.

Good food and good prices. Loved the atmosphere. So nice to eat at a local place instead of a chain when on the road. Worth driving 7 miles off the interstate.

We just wandered by and stopped in. The mocha coffee was great as well as the Bavarian long john. One of my friends had breakfast: scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns. He said it was excellent. Loved the decor---sections of exposed brick. Nice place to relax!
