Notre Dame Stadium has always been iconic, but recent renovations that include a jumbo-video display and 2 inch wider seats, make the experience even more enjoyable. Also added are more TV monitors in the concourse and upgraded concessions. If you have never experienced the Fighting Irish, especially allow time for tailgating, I highly recommend a visit to South Bend/Notre Dame and check off a bucket list item!

Ever since we went to school to when our daughter studied as an undergraduate student and to when our son studies as a graduate student, we have been to many, many games at Notre Dame Football stadium We've alway enjoyed coming to tailgate and to watch games even in blizzard conditions. But this year, with the renovation to the stadium, our game watching experience completely changed. For a substantial fee, we were offered by the university preferred seating. If you feel like spending money on football like we did, we highly recommend preferred seating. You get a private entrance and elevators to take you to your seat level which sit at a level where you can see the game quite well, along with gorgeous views of the beautiful campus. there is an overhang where the preferred seats are located with heaters attached to the overhangs. You don't have to worry about long lines to go to the bathroom The section has its own sets of bathrooms. Best of all, food is included in the price of the seats - 2 hours before the game starts, during the game, and one hour after the game ends. If you are feeling tired or too cold outdooors,\ there js a large well appointed atrium where you can hang out. The food is not just your run of the mill stadium food - although they do serve the stadium hot dogs and pretzels that we dearly love. But in addition there is a food buffet that includes all sorts of meats, fruits, cheeses, etc. It is topped off by a meat carving stadium. There are separate food stations for chili, clam chowder, etc. Unlimited too are the wine, beer, soft drinks, and water. Hot chocolate and coffee are also available as you munch on an endless supply of popcorn - plain or Chicago mix. Oh, and don't forget the ice cream bars. There is an abundance of hospitality staff and they open the doors for you, man the elevators. pick up used plates, bottles, and utensils. One gets a parking spot by the stadium as well, so you won't have to walk too far if you don't want to. bIn other words, you get spoiled and you all are aware of the hefty prices that the privilege of watching Notre Dame football in a very different environment command. And even if it is a high-priced section, the fans are just as raucous so you don't miss out on the fun of watching football - except that you are watching in less spartan conditions. I hope Notre Dame keeps up the high standards.

Even though it rain during my game vs Navy, it was a fantastic experience. Come dress appropriately for the game regardless of the weather, just come prepare. Make sure you come early and tailgate.

There is a lot of tradition & hype to this stadium but the stadium itself is nothing special. Seats are not very comfortable. The new video board is far too loud and cranks out useless information all game long. It is still playing once the visiting team comes to the line of scrimmage - contrary to NCAA rules. It is supposed to be an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty on Notre Dame every time it happens after the first time but it never gets called on them. The stadium needs more concession stands and restrooms. There are not enough of either to avoid long lines. The University had just spent millions on the stadium but it was basically to add 3 new buildings and a video board. I didn't see any improvements to the stadium itself. There are any number of college football stadiums as nice or nicer than this one.

If you are looking for one of the premiere college football venues then this is the place. You don't have to be a Notre Dame fan to appreciate the history. This is an older stadium that's filled with nostalgia of Notre Dame football players. There's not a bad seat in the house. Do dress warm as games in November are windy and cold.
