This has always been the best lunch buffet for Indian food. I've been coming here for 10 years and enjoy it every time. Such good home cooked food that isn't too spicy for my American palate. The chai is excellent, also. I enjoy the fresh naan that is brought to the table and refilled as needed. Recently, I had the best service yet from a new server (didn't catch her name) and a wonderful young indian man, Sunni. Will definitely go back!

We were passing through Iowa City and were thrilled to find a nice, quiet, out-of-the-way Indian spot for dinner. Service was very good. "Mild" option is geared toward midwesterners (i.e. no spice)... the waitress tipped us to this so we ordered appropriately. Very good menu options. Enjoyed the food, the service, and the atmosphere.

We enjoyed carry-out for six people recently, and the flavors were superb. Two of us like very spicy Indian food, and the other four people only like medium spice. Both options were perfect and flavorful. (If you like little heat, better mention that, though.) The six different dishes were all good, including the three vegetarian options.. We liked the ability to relax in our suites and enjoy visiting for long hours.

Food: Not bad, but we ordered "medium" spice and it was very bland.

Service: Terrible. The waitress was obviously new and poorly trained. She didn't know the drink or food menu. Poor follow-up and no service. I will give them another chance but this was a fail.

A hidden gem behind Taco John's and Walgreens in Coralville. Still the best Indian restaurant in town, with a wide variety of flavors and many choices. The lunch buffet now includes very tasty goat along with chicken, saag, veggies dishes, dals, soup and several salads and deserts. The chai comes with the meal in a self service container. The warm carrot and cold rice pudding deserts are very good together. The original art in the main dining area is lovely and the service is prompt and subtle.
