Duck City covers a broad price range for inexpensive to very fine dining - everything from soup to exotic meat dishes. Their signature dish is "Duck City Duck Breast Served Duck City Style" on a bed of rice with sauce framboise, a raspberry sauce, its topped with crispy cracklings of duck. But you can also get salmon, fish, red meat, and chicken here, too. Great place for a great meal.

I would put Duck City as one of the best places to go for a fine dining experience in the QCA. Everything is great from the experience you get by the head chef when you walk through the front door, to the service to the food that comes out of the kitchen. Its a neat vibe inside and I believe you do get what you pay for here. One of my Wife and I's top spots to go eat, on occasion.

No menus here. Once seated, your directed to the glass enclosed menu where Charles (past owner) the son explains the menu in 3-D, up close and personal. You feel you are in a Mafia type of restaurant back in the 20's! YUM

Remember when you were a kid and you were walking along and found a $20 bill? Remember how good you felt, how lucky you were, how happy it made you? That is Duck City Bistro. It is located in an unassuming building in a section of town that is trying move from it's river city, industrial past into a hip vibrant area.

Chef Jeremy is a salesman and a showman, literally. He takes you through his presentation routine when you enter the door showcasing all the special menu items for the evening in a booming baritone ending with "Beef! It's what's for dinner!" He is a classically trained chef in the French tradition.

I've been there 1/2 a dozen times in the past year and have never been disappointed. If you are lucky the lovely Shoshauna will be your bartender pouring an ice cold martini of your choice. My favorite meal was the blackened bone-in rib-eye. It is tender, juicy, and flavorful and does not disappoint. Other dishes include wonderful fish, baked chicken, and others. The menu changes often.

Don't miss this gem!

We are in town on business and i checked out Duck City on Trip Advisor. What an outstanding little gem. Fabulous food, service and ambience. This is a must when visiting the Quad Cities. We're coming back tomorrow with guests. A must.
