Upon checking in and arriving in our room, we discovered we had a "queen" bed in a handicap accessible room. Now, when I say "queen", it may have been a couple inches wider than a double. Not being happy about the situation and knowing sleep was not going to happen in a bed that size with my husband, we went down and spoke to the front desk about changing rooms. We couldn't that night due to being full but they were able to get us into a very nice king room for the following two nights of our stay.
The king room was very clean and nice size. Centrally located and very quiet. The bathroom is small but shower has good hot water pressure. The mix of soft and firm pillows is always nice at the Holiday Inn. Bed was very comfortable. AC unit actually kept up with our cool request of 65 at night (not always the case at hotels).
I was very impressed with the customer service received from the hotel front staff in regards to our room mishap.
We also dined in the bar area one night - service was friendly and great; however, the food was average.
We've stayed here before and will again.More
