I was disappointed that bottled water was no longer provided in our room, and a free continental breakfast was also no longer provided.
The staff was very helpful and the location is a definite plus for us.

Thanks for taking the time to review my hotel. Covid has changed our operation slightly, we do provide the water at the front desk at check-in. Hilton has removed that and other high touch items by guests to make it a safe environment for all. We also did provide a small grab and go at no charge to the guest, but have reopened breakfast cook to order recently to return to a normal guest experience. We do look forward to your return to Dubuque and hope you stay with us again.

Tonight as part of a two month road trip we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Dubuque, Iowa. As is the case with virtually every other Hilton property the stay was absolutely great. The nice gentleman at the front desk upgraded us as Diamond Members to a gorgeous suite aka room 232. The room is huge and has some nice views of trees. The Internet was a bit weak on and off, but still worked plenty good enough. Due to Covid the usual great HGI breakfast was not able to happen, but the grab and go boxes were very nice. In fact I traded my wife my eggs for her yogurt so basically I ended up eating what I would have eaten at the regular HGI breakfast. Trading food reminded me of trading C-rations in the Army overseas in the late 60s. Ahhhh the memories! Anyway a real 5 star stay which I highly recommend! Conrad Hilton would be proud!

I think the rate is high for the area. I checked in online and got a digital key so had almost no interaction with the staff except to purchase a beverage from the pantry. The boxed breakfast needs to be better for the $$ per night.

This was our first trip during the pandemic. We were not disappointed. The staff was great. Room was clean. Guests were conscious of social distancing. Breakfast was not the same as in the past but we understood

First time staying at Dubuque Hilton Garden and It was really nice. The front desk associates were very friendly and someone was always at the desk to answer any question you had.
We had a king room on the upper floor very clean and spacious. Still having a coffee maker in the room was great you don't see that too often anymore.
It was nice getting to your room and it had a door seal on it stating the room had been clean and sanitized.
Hilton had hand sanitizing stations throughout the lobby and at the elevators which was nice to see and masks were mandatory.
In these trying times don't expect the pool or workout room to be open they also do not have a shuttle running which its states on the website.
They did offer a free breakfast in a box that didn't bother us at all considering the times we live in know. Hilton didn't have to offer anything so the boxed breakfast was nice.
If you’re in Dubuque Hilton Gardens is definitely worth staying at, I know we'll be back.
