The Greyhound did not tell us the pub was closed when we booked. On arrival I was shown to a reasonable suite of three small rooms (room 2). The first thing I noticed was that the bathroom had not been properly cleaned--toothpaste on the ledge above the basin and the usual marks that you hope not to find in the toilet. This meant that the rooms could not have been cleaned properly, an absolutely vital service at the moment. The standard of cleaning fell well short of what is to be expected without Covid-19 flying about. As I had to go and buy food anyway I also bought disinfectant wipes and used them to clean every surface I was intending to come into contact with. I also cleaned the toilet.
The breakfast provided was inadequate, especially in view of the fact that I was paying for it. One tea bag is also not enough for a two night stay--one tea bag is all I got as nothing was replenished the following day except for a milk jug and one variety pack of cereal.
On the plus side the location is good and the rooms well equipped. The bathroom is in good condition and pleasant.More
