A definite staple for the Sunflower State. This is a must see. Find and follow them on Facebook, they tell you when its time for the peak bloom, weather conditions and parking conditions. If you are in the KC or surrounding are during the right time, its totally worth it. Definitely breathtaking!

We always keep up to date on the Farmer and his wife on Facebook which I recommend. He lets you know when the flowers will peak, has a list of common sense do's and don'ts (people just use common sense!). If we have had rains, he updates on the parking conditions. Worth the trip here each year just to see sunflowers as far as you can see! No charge to get in. Truly a Kansas site to see!

This was our second year to visit Grinter Farms. There isn’t anything more beautiful or peaceful (if you go very early in the AM) in the area. HIGHLY recommend going early morning, it’s worth the trip. Typically Labor Day weekend is insanity if they are in full bloom at that time. This amazing family open their amazing farm to tens of thousands of visitors free of charge. There are donation poles in various locations and strongly encourage folks to make even a nominal contribution to their efforts. It is an amazing place!!

Even nearing the end of the season, my family and I were able to get some great pictures taken with the beautiful flowers. The owners of the field and the community did a great job this year to help keep traffic down and the fields safe for everyone to visit.
