The hotel is about what I would expect from the reviews, pictures and price I paid. It was a decent hotel--nothing extraordinary, nothing bad. There was a baseball tournament nearby, so the hotel was very crowded and full of kids, players and families. Obviously, it was a bit noisy because of this, but only in the lobby area. I was pleasantly surprised that I never once heard them in the halls outside the room or in other rooms close by. The room was decent--again, nothing great, nothing terrible. I liked that they had a separate living area with a couch/pull-out where you can hang out and eat, etc. The bed could probably be a little more comfortable, but it wasn't awful and the bathrooms could probably be updated, but everything worked, so again, nothing to complain about.

All-in-all, the hotel wasn't overly expensive, so I felt like it was a decent deal. The location was a little off the interstate, so it took some time to get there, but it was also pretty quite because of this.

The check-in process went very quick and was easy, the rooms themselves were extremely clean, no complaints, the Staff, very courteous and friendly, never at all have we found more professional people...the breakfast was very good...the travel was not far at all to downtown. Overall excellent place, highly recommend!

Hotel is conveniently located. Front desk staff was kind and eager to help. Rooms were dated and well worn, no USB ports (which seems to be standard, nowadays) carpet didn't look clean, overall felt a bit grimy.

Dear Rachel,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our property. It is always beneficial to receive the perspective of our guests. Our goal is for the surveys always be favorable but in this case we did not achieve our goal and we are sorry for letting you down. You are correct with the observation of the lack of USB ports and that is being addressed with the replacement of our lamps which will have ports on the bases. I will research your stay and locate what room you were in and have the carpets cleaned as well as share your comments with our housekeeping and maintenance staff. Thank you for the kind comments regarding our Front Desk Staff and I will be sure to pass those along as well.

Thank you,

Danny

We had a very pleasant 5-night stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, and the housekeeping staff were wonderful! The breakfast choices were very nice and we found that everyone who worked there from the desk staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the maintenance staff, were very friendly and hospitable.

Room Tip: There aren't any 2-queen bed rooms - only 2 double beds. This does make the rooms rather small/tight.

You get what you pay for here. Prices are on the cheaper side so if you want some place with a good location in Overland Park for a decent price this place will do. If you want a nice hotel and are willing to pay a bit more go ahead and stay somewhere else. Rooms and beds are small and was a challenge for four people to stay here for a weekend. I don’t see me coming back. Especially with so many hotels in the area to stay.

Thank you Jason for taking the time to post a review of your recent stay. From your description it sounds like you may have been in one of our standard rooms with 2 double beds. Perhaps one of our suites would have been more accommodating for your needs. Our suites which tipically run only $10.00 a night more have not only the 2 double beds but a sitting area as well which also has a sofa sleeper. These rooms provide more space and bedding as well as a microwave and refrigerator at a minimal cost. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and perhaps there will be another opportunity for you to return and try one of our suites next time.
