We all had a great time. The water was so nice and relaxing. The room was clean. The beds were so comfy that we all slept great! Out in an instant. The breakfast buffet was great and the staff was all amazing too. This was the first visit and won't be the last either.

I had no expectation of this resort, having joined some family for a May long weekend retreat. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the resort, and its local charm. The cost of the room is so reasonable, given that it includes your unlimited pass to the mineral pool and a full breakfast buffet! I took advantage of their spa and booked a pedicure. I brought my own wine (as suggested on the reservation)and my aunt and I enjoyed a full 1.5 hour treatment for the oh so reasonable price of 61 dollars tax in. We took advantage of that time to catch up on each other's lives. We walked the shoreline and took in the antique shop and browsed other local venues. We dined at the Waters Edge and despite the long wait for our meal, I was chill. Why? I understand that resorts can be uncanny for not having the right staff for their first big weekend. We heard they were opening their patio restaurant that day. When our food arrived, it was delicious, and in the interim, there was a salad bar to keep us alive. The servers checked in with us often to apologize and see if we were ok. I heard a few complaining customers. Maybe they had kids to get home to...whatever. At the end of the night, I sank into a wonderful bed with a great mattress and bedding. I shopped in the boutique and found some good buys. I came home with a couple of bags of mineral salts. I left my comfort zone of opening up my own resort cottage much further north--glad I did. Thank you for a memorable weekend! Highly recommend this well priced resort.

Buffet sorry to say discussing. We drive 2 hours to meet family for a buffet. Our family is struggling with health. Watrous being a half way point. We told the waitress about the chicken pizza shrimp eggs etc. Then she never came back till the bill. Definitely would never go back. Watched the other plates going back all had the same food going back to the kitchen. So sad because it is a beautiful place. Salt spa. Gross food

We visited mid-week and enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean but a bit dated. Pool was excellent and facilities were much cleaner than when I visited a few years ago. I was very impressed with the "included" breakfast the selection was way above standard. But the star was the lady who was assisting everyone. She was extraordinary! Very cheerful and even thou she was the only one on the floor she efficiently handled everything! I wished I had gotten her name so I could call management to tell them what a gem they have! She set the stage for a very pleasant day.

Lake manitou is the Dead Sea of Canada and a hidden secret. The spa is large and consists of 3 pools of different temperatures. The water is rejuvenating and relaxing. The hotel is clean with great staff. The full hot breakfast is complimentary and gowns are supplied for the spa. There's great walking for this dog friendly hotel. The half hour drive out of the way is worth the time!
