We like to come here while we camp @ blue licks state park. This was a cold night. Hoping place. They do have a separate bar. The restaurant is up stairs. We have been coming here for years. It was not good for a period of time. Tonight was good. Our favorite is the crab legs. The plate had 3 pods with a baked potato & salad. We love the ranch dressing. They bring a basket of crackers and rolls. Rolls are not homemade but good. The petite filet was good not great. Baked potatoes are big.
The decor is rustic eclectic .check out the old tools on the walls and the table tops. The handicapped ramp is on the left back side of restaurant. This is a small place. They do smoke in here.
They do have specials.
Open Thursday -saturday evenings.
Total bill for 3 no alcohol was $55.

Old family restaurant, nothing fancy. Just a good small town place to eat. Only open Wednesday through Saturday. The food is good with a nice variety. The ribs are tender and the steaks are cooked to order. Very friendly place. We visit at least twice a month.

Went to eat here last night, and the situation was much better....still not "home-made" items, for most part, but it appears efforts are being made to improve the offerings. Their baby back ribs are now being low smoked, and the difference is readily apparent. There seems to be more "sides" to choose from, and the delicious salads are even more tasty & crisp. Baked potatoes still large & fluffy. The staff is attentive & very pleasant. An enjoyable experience, overall!

Have been going here for two years, as this establishment is across from the lake community from where we live. Has deteriorated rapidly......their supplier is Sysco, institutional food purveyor, and it shows. Only two items are worth the visit, in my opinion.....very good baked potatoes, and good, crispy salads. No real butter to be found, or if you like cream, or 1/2 & 1/2, you get the "dairy creamer" variety for your coffee, tea. Service is generally good, but big turnover in servers, which also speaks of some mismanagement issues.

The Blue Licks Battlefield state park is but a few miles further north, and had a wonderful meal there last night, no complaints, and this seems to be a much better choice.
