Made a few calls to this hotel before booking only to find out that the things we called about were not as they stated. We were told the pool was heated and it definitely is Not. There were even bugs floating in the Indoor pool each time we went down to swim. And NO towels in the pool area either time we went down! Was told that we could hook a DVD player up in our room found out we could not! Our whole reason for the mini vaca was to lay in bed and binge watch all our favorite movies, which we could not do!! We also still had trash in our room! Room definitely could have been cleaner!! The ladies that work the front desk in the evenings were GREAT!! Very friendly and helpful.
On a good note the beds are super Comfy!!!!

Room tip: Beds are Amazing

Beds were comfortable, breakfast was amazing, nighttime staff were very nice and helpful, daytime staff weren't very knowledgeable. We called ahead of time to see if the pool was heated, daytime staff told me it was "quite warm" but it was actually FREEZING cold. There were also no towels in the pool area for the entire 3 days that we were here. Our room had also not been cleaned properly before our arrival, we found an empty beer box in the closet. We also requested for housekeeping to NOT come into our room, we left for lunch and when we got back, housekeeping had been in our room, anyways. Other than that, our stay was great.

Room tip: 2nd floor was nice!

While the hotel chain boasts their attention to cleanliness and commitment to high standards, the first room we checked into tonight smelled like someone had previously thrown up in the room. The second room we were assigned had a slightly less offensive smell but upon opening the refrigerator to chill some waters overnight, we found a refrigerator full of somewhat decaying food. This is certainly not up to cleanliness standards as the refrigerator was extremely nasty and the front desk clerk did not seem very concerned. Because it was after work hours, apparently no one is on staff to take care of housekeeping in the evening. Would not recommend this hotel!

Hello janieindy. I wanted to personally reach out to your regarding your stay and the very disappointing experience you had with us. You are completely right when you describe your stay at "not up to standards." In no way should any of our rooms be left in that condition that you described. It is also very disappointing to read the comments regarding our staffs willingness to help and that is also something that we will also be looking into. If there is anything I can do to make up for these issues, please feel free to reach out to me directly at the hotel.

As a Spire IHG member this hotel definitely needs a bit of extra attention. Upon walking in the trash can was overflowing. Our first room we checked into had hairs all over the shower and crumbs in the carpet.

Cedric who was the front desk attendant promptly gave us a second room which although was bigger and a handicapped accessible room similar issues. The blinds didn’t work properly so we had to sleep with one open even after switching the batteries in the remote. The shower had mold in the corners.

The floors in the hallway needed a good vacuuming as did this room. I feel like just some basic things like updating the bathrooms, vacuuming, and some old fashion elbow grease would bring this place up to standards.

Hello Twin_Crew. Thank you for your recent comments on your stay with us. I am deeply disappointed to hear about the issues that you had in your guest room. I can assure you that is not standard for our hotel. We take great pride in providing exceptional service for all of our guests and unfortunately we missed the mark on that. As soon as I read your comments regarding the window shade, our maintenance technician was dispatched to the room to make sure they are now working properly. Unfortunately we should be more proactive on how our rooms are functional. Please let me know if you have any other comments you would like to share on how we can improve our performance.

As a recent traveler of more than 14,000 miles in a month in a half (East Coast to West Coast and back), we have stayed at more than 25+ hotels and in particular all Marriott chains, Best Western PLUS, HI Express, and some random Sheraton, Westin's, & Radisson's, Comfort Inn & Suites as well as Country Inn & Suites. Time and time again, HI Express has surprised us in many states and in a good way!! This hotel chain has made us a converter! We like the large TV's, the updated amenities, incredibly soft comfy beds (I want to bring one home with me) and for the most part very clean rooms. We like the hotel parking lot, plenty of room and the spaciousness of the lobby and breakfast area. The wi-fi works perfect with my computer (many of the above hotels let us down with the wi-fi not working) and very up to date modernized rooms. We can't ask for anything better. Just a side not though, the POOL is currently closed as of 8/21/20. I am not sure when they will open it back up so please call if that is important to you. I also like that it is not backed right up to the interstate but close enough for easy access. There is a laundry room with one washer & dryer. It will cost you $4.50 to do a wash & dry. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Lexington / Georgetown area!

Room tip: Higher floors, away from elevators
