We were touring the Bourbon Trail with another couple and visiting Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger Plant/Museum, and stayed at this great B&B for several nights. This is a beautifully restored mansion. The hostess was very helpful with recommendations and local knowledge and served the best breakfast of the entire trip. The bedrooms and baths were very private and comfortable. There was ample parking, a large garden and patio area, and the B&B was easy walking to some very good restaurants.
I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: King suites were large and spacious. We were in the Andrew Carnegie Suite on the 3rd Floor and it was very quiet and spacious.

Stayed here for 2 nights on our Louisville visit. Built in 1876 - beautiful interior. Christmas decorations up. Hosts Jim and Erica were fantastic. Breakfast was exceptional and filling. Stayed in Edison room.

Yes, we just got the decorations up. It takes two people a full week to do it. We generally will have decorations up from mid November to early January. I love to hear we are one of the best- that is our goal. Thanks for choosing us and for the review.

We only stayed one night, but it was delightful. The history of this B & B was very interesting & the hosts were so nice & showed us around. They had little candy dishes with treats for the all guests. Plus there was a kitchen on the second floor with chips & drinks for everyone to have.

The only thing that we didn't love was the breakfast. It was a scrambled egg rollup with grits. The rollup had a weird taste & that was the first time my husband & I had eaten grits...no a fan. It was a very elegant presentation & such a gorgeous dining room.

One of the guests gave us a map with a walking tour for all the historical homes in that area. We had a great time walking around the area.

I would definitely stay here again.

Thanks for the review. I'm glad the breakfast presentation was elegant- that's important - but we want you to like it!! Next time we will give you something different- and I think we will take this dish off our menu altogether.

We stayed her for our second time in September. Overall our stay was great. We stayed in the Edison and the transom window to the hall does not have sufficient coverage on it so we had to wear sleep masks. The bathroom could use some updating- mostly the tiny shower. The room was clean, well lit and had enough lighting. The breakfast was good however the tables are always set with chargers and fancy china also used as chargers these do not get cleaned regularly and often had crumbs on them. Ample parking available.

We had a three night stay in the Edison room and were thrilled with everything. The room and bath were lovely, as was the rest of the house. I sat in a different public sitting room each night to read and relax. A deck area out back also provides opportunities for relaxation. There are carafes of wine throughout the house and fresh baked goodies. There is also a kitchen on the second floor that is well stocked with snacks and beverages. Information on local attractions was readily available. Kristen is very nice and did a fine job with the breakfasts each day. DuPont Mansion is located within the Old Louisville section of the city and anywhere you walk you see beautiful Victorian mansions. I'd highly recommend you consider staying here. Enjoy!
