This is an update to previous reviews I have made for this restaurant in the past few years. The restaurant is located in Guazzino on the main street and is wheelchair accessible. I am happy to say that it is just as good this year as it has been in previous years. The new owners, who took over several years ago, continue to provide fantastic Italian and Tuscan fare. And as in previous years, we found ourselves this past March dining here twice in one week! The first night I had the steak taglietti with rosemary and peppercorns and a side of "chips".. The steak was perfectly done, nice and tender and perfectly seasoned. The chips were wonderful - thinly sliced potatoes, deep fried, and lightly salted. Others in our group had gluten free gnocchi with ragu sauce, gluten free beef and porcini mushroom stew, and a wild boar stew. Both stews were very tasty and the gnocchi was wonderful. To top off the meal, I tried the almond mousse with chocolate and almond chips mixed into the mousse.. The mousse was to die for -- lightly sweet with amazing flavor. The kind of dessert where you just want to lick the dish. On the second night, I had the papardelle with wild boar ragu sauce which was perfect. I am not a big pasta person but I ate ever bite. Once again, I had the almond mousse. Simply could not resist. It was that good! The service is excellent and the restaurant ambiance is lovely.. Can't say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend it for a superb dining experience.

Our first trip to Tuscany and we were fortunate to find our way to Luca Bini's restaurant near Sinalunga. Luca is the owner/chef/host. This is his first restaurant, having previously worked for ten years at the venerable La Chiusa. The food that Luca brings to the table is superb, and the attention that he obviously gives to preparation and presentation of the meal is matched by his enthusiasm and graciousness as a host. We had dinner on September 21, 2015, and returned for our farewell to Tuscany dinner on Sept 25, 2015. Appetizers included porcini mushroom salad, carpaccio, and buratta cheese. Ravioli and pici with ragu sauce were perfect. Long braised pork was delicious. Cantucci vin santo for dessert. Visit Luca for a memorable dinner. Te, Maddy and Jean from N.Y.

After a bit of shopping at Valdichiana it was time for lunch, so a bit of research on TA revealed Il Fornacino a short drive away, and we made a booking online for a late Sunday lunch.

It was still quite full at 2.15. Some of the specials were out by then. What we had was very special - local ingredients, grandma's recipes, but executed with high skill. Flavours came through clearly.

Luca the young chef and boss, described the dishes and made recommendations, took our orders and generally made us feel very welcome and at home.

This was the best meal of our trip.

We spent a night at Sinalunga. Our host recommended to us a restaurant, which for a reason we could not find. On our way we spotted this restaurant and we decided to give it a try instead. All I can say is thank God for not finding the other restaurant, as our experience of Il Fornacino was excellent. One of our best meals ever!!! Would recommend to anyone!

What an incredible find in a tiny town in the Siena region near Sinalunga and Bettolle. Chef and owner, Luca is a charming and gracious host and great chef! Our group of 7 had a lunch and dinner at il Fornacino and highly enjoyed both! From antipasti thru dolce (dessert) Chef Luca has lots of variety to delight you.
