Did some short hiking near Chain Rock, was a lovely afternoon. Seemed to be plenty of places to picnic. Will absolutely return when we have more time to spend exploring!

A wonderful weekend respite! Quaint surroundings, but very clean and well maintained. Trails well marked and easily accessible. Lodge restaurant food was delicious, and this lodge is dog friendly.

The hike to chained rock is a little rough at the end, but well worth making the trip. It is only 1/2 a mile trail, and most of it is very well paved or with steps except the part that looks like it just ends. You will have to go over some rock and the path picks up again. To get on top of the rock to see the whole chain takes quite a bit of climbing.
