Midday lunch on a Tuesday at Les Vieux Puits, right on the market square in Marcigny. Menu incredibly priced at 13 euros INCLUDING cheese AND dessert AND coffee. Is it "fine dining"? Of course not, but it's very good indeed. Small charcuterie plate to begin, followed by three perfectly cooked chicken drumsticks over fair curry rice. Cheese board left at table so we could take as much as we wanted, with five different cheeses to choose from. Very good chocolate mousse with little savoyard cookies buried within, along with a couple of pieces of fruit. Nice. Rapid service. Great experience, pleasant setting in the square.
