My husband and I were looking for a nice restaurant next to our hotel and we ran into albasha.
The food is absolutely delicious!!! We ordered many dishes and everything was very good.
Prices are reasonable and the service is great.
I highly recommend!

Thank Shir M

Warm atmosphere on a cold evening with great service and delicious food. Hummus was very good and salad dressing was unique. This was the best gyros we could ever remember. The Greek pilsner was good enough to order a second.

We try to eat at new Greek restaurants when we are in different locations. The Baton Rouge Albasha did not disappoint. The food was fresh and well seasoned. The Mediterranean hummos was one of the best I have had. They make their’s homemade and you can definitely taste it. The chicken shawarma was so good. It had the little crunch from the spiket where they slice it, it was juicy and flavorful. We will be going back on our next trip to BR.

Consistently good food and good service. Friendly staff, extensive menu, great atmosphere. Greek food without the travel.

Started with a Almaza Pilsner beer - light flavor with a little spice in the aftertaste. The appetizer was Moussaka - eggplant which is a stewed eggplant with a slightly spicy sauce. Eggplant was cooked very well retaining its texture and served with pita bread. The Lamb Shank was tender and fell off the bone with a slightly sweet finish. Was accompanied by a side dish of a Greek salad and humus. All in all, very flavorful food.
Staff is friendly and attentive but near the end of the evening during after dinner conversation we were rushed out by employees vacuuming the floor. Not the best ending to a very good meal. Even with the rude ending, I would recommend giving this place a try.
