First, I believe in giving praise where it's due, and the front desk and housekeeping staff were great: friendly, professional, and helpful. My complaint is about the actual room I stayed in, Room 140. This hotel property looks like its still undergoing renovation, and it needs to continue. If my room was any indication, the rooms need a major overhaul.
I always choose non-smoking rooms, and you can tell that at some point someone smoked in my room. When you turn off the AC you can detect the smell of stale cigarettes. When I returned home, all my unworn clothes that I unpacked smelled like stale cigarette smoke. There is a fabric-covered sofa in the room, as well as carpeting, which I'm sure have absorbed the smell. The carpet had visible stains and the back side of the curtains were stained, so those obviously have not been cleaned. I also noticed a hole (rock? BB? bullet?) in the window, which I didnt notice until my last day. I also noticed the duvet cover didn't appear clean, metal appointments like the bath tissue holder and clothes rack were rusted. The room just needs a refresh. It felt depressing.
Pet-friendly hotels are hard to find, and this was a busy festival weekend, so I stayed, but I would not stay here again. More
