This review is a bit late, but I wanted to make sure that everyone knows of this treasure of an inn. We celebrated our 40th anniversary here on August 14, 2011, and we absolutely loved this inn! We were late arriving, but the owner was there waiting for us. He was so pleasant and accomodating! We were in the Rhett Butler room, and the furnishings were beautiful! There was a lovely private porch right outside our room. The four poster bed was set on wheels! We were the only ones there that night so in the morning we got to view all of the other rooms. There were homemade brownies and other treats set out for us in the hallway. What a lovely touch! We loved the old time elevator and the decor of the entire building.
This inn is similar to a Bed and Breakfast where the breakfast was included. And what a breakfast it was! The biscuits were scrumptious as was the eggs, bacon, grits, and everything else. We also met the female owner that morning, and she was so nice! She gave us ideas about what we could do that day.
We visited the local museum in the area and went to the model train exhibition down the road.
We would definitely recommend this inn to our family and friends.More
