This is a high end restaurant. The food is very good, and a bit pricey. Cajun food in a fine dining atmosphere.

Could be a really nice place but needs some work. We only stopped in because we needed food quick. We were going to the local playhouse and didn't have a lot of time. I ordered Jambalaya and it was good but my wife's salad didn't look fresh. Service was OK and we did get our food quick enough we could eat and get to the theater on time. For us it was just alright.

First the good. Nice historic building downtown. The food was fairly good but no better then any other Cajun cuisine restaurant in the area. The company was outstanding as we were there for an extended family gathering. There was live entertainment in the form of two musicians.
The bad. Main dish items arrived before salads. The place was a little crowded and it was difficult for even the wait staff to get through. The other half of the restaurant was nearly empty wasted space.
The ugly. Forget the online menu, that requires someone to go to the food purveyor regularly. The menu was reduced to about 1/5th of the website and they had a few items they ran out of earlier in the week. The wait staff was slow, it took 45 minutes for them to deliver soft drinks and refills. They ran out of glasses. The restrooms are out the back door into a stand alone building much like a campground outhouse. Then there's the matter of prices, seriously high while the food quality was comparable to other places in the area at 1/3rd the price.
The place is more focused on being a bar then a restaurant. That made for a poor dining experience but it was alright for a family gathering provided you leave the kids at home.

We brought relatives to Clementine's, wanting to show off the cuisine of the area. We were seated immediately. The place was not full, Then the wait started. Finally our waitress came and got our appetizer order and lunch order. The seafood gumbo was not great. The roux was very dark. That is usually the chef's choice so some places you get light or dark. Our complaint was the crab meat was not cleaned very good. There was a bit of crunch (shell etc) in almost every bite. After an hour of waiting I went to ask about our food and said we were not happy to wait that long... she said our food was coming. I sat at our table and the waitress came back and said that they had no green tomatoes for one of our dishes we had ordered and did we want to order something else... we were really unhappy to find out that after an hour wait ... they knew when we were seated they had no green tomatoes.. We told them NO we were leaving. On the way out we were told their shipment of tomatoes had not come in that day. Not a way to show tourist how good the food and service is at a seemingly nice downtown restaurant.
