Excellent dinner. Wahoo fish expertly cooked by "a chef from New Orleans." Lovely green beans and some Louisiana Abita beer to enjoy. Learned a lot about the area from the waitstaff.

Fans of James Lee Burke's Dave Robicheaux detective series will recognize Clementine's from the books. Well, I assure you that it's a real place with real (good) food. We had gumbo, fried oysters, pulled pork sliders and Oreo beignets. The good news is you can't go wrong with anything on this menu. Service was fast and friendly and prices were reasonable.

One star is too good for this place. Horrible service, over 2 hours to get the meal, with reservations. Very small plates for high prices, everything cold or lukewarm at best, incomplete orders. To reach the filthy restroom you have to go through a very questionable prep area to reach it out back in a separate
building in an equally bad looking back yard. The web sites and menues shown have nothing to do with reality. The place should be closed down.

We were with a bus group of 25 and were seated in the run down back room for dinner. The food was substandard and certainly not fine dining as claimed. There was nothing on our menu that was listed on their website. The food was mostly served cold as if it been sitting a while before delivery. Even the gumbo was cool and it should have come from a pot simmering on the stove. It was full of crab shell-every bite had shell in it. It was 2 hours and 5 minutes before the last table got their food--and part of it was cold. The scallops were particularly disappointing. Only 3, wrapped in bacon and very dry. And to top off our $74 meal (shrimp cocktail, cup of gumbo, grilled seafood platter and boiled shrimp, water, and they added 20% tip), when we got to our room and checked with our bank, the charge was $85.70 pending on our debit card. I will say the bus boy was very attentive-our water glasses were refilled several times. The rest of our group had a delightful experience at Jane's Seafood and China House for a lot less money. I do not recommend Clementine's.

This is a high end restaurant. The food is very good, and a bit pricey. Cajun food in a fine dining atmosphere.
