The food is good but not memorable. We love to go when there's live music on the patio overlooking the river but bring your bug spray!

Enjoyed our meal and the outdoor seating on the balcony by the river. Ordered the thin cut fried fish...it was excellent. Was worth the drive and will return in the future

The sensation salad with grilled chicken isn't what it used to be. The food is still ok. The view can't be beat.

great view over the water. Nothing spectacular about the menu or the food for that matter. Service from the wait staff was ok. best part of the service was actually the bus person. Smiled and spoke asking us how was our visit. probably wont return

Went to New Roads on an antiquing trip and stopped at Satterfield's for lunch. We sat outside on a veranda overlooking False Lake, a cutoff horseshoe bend if the Mississippi River. Beautiful! Our server recommended the False River Sampler, which we both ordered. It came with a nice, small, salad. The Thousand Island dressing is home made and was very good. The sampler had Gumbo, etouffee', fried shrimp, a fried fish filet and new potatoes! It was a lot of food and it was all delicious. The pricing is reasonable with lunch for two costing $40 including the tip. We will go back to New Roads just to visit Satterfield's!
