What a wonderful place to stay!! Perfect in all aspects ~ from the refurbishing of this Lewis home back to its original historical grandeur Victorian style ... to the warm welcoming of Christopher and his awesome tea in the Tea Room to the smell of roasting coffee and hot breakfast in the morning on beautiful Rose China. But I think my favorite thing of all was starting my day off with coffee and the swing on the side porch and the smell of fresh rain all around me.

Room Tip: If you like the Historic towns and B&B along w/leisure of just taking it easy on a front porch swing... then this is the place to be.

Even though our expected arrival time changed three times due to road repairs on I-20, we were still warmly welcomed by Christopher. We were given brochures about Ruston, history of The Lewis House and suggested places to eat. Our room was the Majestic and was invitingly decorated. The bed was wonderful. CJ, the owner has restored the home in a lovely manner. Breakfast consisted of berries, eggs, toast and sausage, served along with juice and hot tea for us since we are not coffee drinkers. If you like old 114 year old Victorian Homes, this is the place for you.

Room Tip: Our room was The Majestic. The room was dark, even with all lights on, I had to let more light in by opening the curtains. Then it was perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. It was like going back in time and the owner and her son were so delightful and accommodating. My husband purchased the packages offered to make the occasion special and Wow!!! did they deliver!!!

Room Tip: The Majestic Room was beautiful!!!

I would stay there again. Very clean and quite. They were very help and kept in touch with us making sure we had everything we needed. In the heart of Ruston, LA close to everything and LA Tech University.

Selected Lewis House B&B for overnight stay in Ruston. So much more to offer than traditional motel chain. CJ called to see if we would arrive by 3 pm tea time. We arrived and were treated to a formal tea setting in the parlor. Great flavored tea with cookie sampler. The renovation of this 1900-built home is first class. We stayed in a room with a private bath. There was a claw foot tub with a wrap around shower curtain. Wireless internet is provided along with TV in the second floor common area. Homey feel to the house. You can get ice out of the kitchen frig. The breakfast was delicious and quite large. Good coffee. The home is situated right off downtown and is convenient to many restaurants and boutiques. Discounts to eateries are available at the front desk. This is the first B&B we have stayed at that actually had a covered carport for our car. Impressive electronic security features. NIce grounds, too. Thanks to CJ and staff for their hospitality!

Room Tip: Rooms with private baths are just a few dollars more.
