We usually go to the Albasha's in Baton Rouge, but we stumbled on a restaurant.com coupon for this one and decided to check it out (since we were going to stay in Shreveport area).
At first glance, the outside of the restaurant does not look that nice. There's still some paint from the old restaurant's name on the outside wall, and the parking lot had garbage around it. However, once you step inside it is nice and welcoming! It looks newly renovated inside as well.
The atmosphere is not the same as any other Albasha's we've been to; it has more of a cool, night-hangout vibe. Other Albasha's emphasize traditional Greek murals and music. It is not bad by any means, it just stands out from other Albasha's we've been to previously.
We ordered the Lebonese tea, Albasha's Platter (came with kibbi and grape leaves), Chicken shawarma and gyro platter, baklava, and tiramisu! It also came with fresh pita bread! We had a lot of leftovers because it is served in big portions. The food was wonderful!
The waitress we had was friendly and very accommodating. We chose a more private area of the restaurant so we could eat alone, and she checked on us often (and not the "annoying often" either).
Ladies - the restroom is completely zebra striped with modern art! Very nice!
