The restaurant is nestled in a cove of trees and very serene. Our table overlooked the dining area. The live jazz was a welcomed part of the experience.
The fresh fruits and vegetables were crisp and flavorful. The prime rib perfectly cooked. Petit Fours were delicious, moist, and flavorful. The rest of the buffet was good although not impressive. Staff was attentive and friendly.

While overnight in Slidell, my husband, son, and I had dinner here. First, it was hard to find, the railroad crossing was rough, the walkway and parking lot were wet and a bit muddy. But we entered and found quite a surprise! Nice white tablecloths, fresh flowers, and an impressive menu. Among us, we had pork chop, trout, and seafood gumbo, along with mini French loaves with butter. It was all delicious, and service was attentive at the right times. Although the desserts sounded scrumptious, none of us had room. Portions are generous, so go hungry!

Four of us went to celebrate two birthdays at Palmettos on the Bayou. It was the first time for all of us, and we loved it. The weather was delightful, so we sat outside. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the bottomless mimosas were a bargain. The setting was wonderfully relaxing, right on the bayou. And to top things off there was a cool 2-man jazz combo playing which just added to the laid-back vibe of the place. We'll definitely be back.

It’s not much to look at from the gravel parking lot, but the Sunday brunch there was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and the buffet had a large variety of authentic local dishes. I’ve been staying in Slidell for business for several weeks and this was the best food I’ve had here yet. Buffet was $25 which included a mimosa or Bloody Mary...was a great value for what you get. I’ve spent twice as much in New Orleans for mediocre food and crowds. Will definitely be back.

Setting was unexpectedly GORGEOUS, especially once it was dark and the decorative lights came on. Food was amazing, and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Our friends made a great choice picking this venue for their wedding!
