Lovely rooms, 24-7 fitness room, sauna and hot tub PRIVATE with reservation, Keurig, fridge, big tub bathrooms, beautiful bed linens! Great location in the center of town, but why leave - great restaurant and bar on site! Conference rooms for work meetings - quiet hallways, immediate wifi and easy TV!!! I'll be here for four days, but I will be back!

Room Tip: I like highway traffic so street-side rooms don't bother me, but some may prefer front of house rooms.

My friend and I stayed at the Daniel while in Brunswick for the first night of a treasure hunting weekend. It was in close proximity to a fantastic antiques mall, Cabot Mill, and flea market. Not only was it a lovely hotel, but had a great bar with an inspired, farm to table, restaurant menu. We enjoyed live music, had a wonderful bartender and loved the food. The room was clean, tasteful and classy. It was perfect for our one night stay!

Staff is friendly and very professional. The hotel is clean and charming. We also recommend the restaurant within the hotel, Coast Bar &Bistro. It's our hotel of choice when in the Brunswick, ME area.

We have stayed at The Daniel twice since it was renovated in 2013. Both times we were in a room on the second floor overlooking the river which is the more scenic side of the hotel. There is an elevator just off the lobby but, unfortunately, it was not working properly during our second stay. The staff, however, were more than helpful in making up for this inconvenience. The decor of our King room, as is the rest of the Inn, was very attractive and everything was immaculate. The heating worked well and was very quiet. The refrigerator was adequate in size but there was no microwave. There was, however, a coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable and linens of good quality. The room was not large but had sufficient space for our needs. Our only recommendation would be that a small coffee table would have been useful. When sitting in the loveseat, there was nowhere to put one’s cup of coffee or book. The only other negative to this room was the angle of the bathroom door. Because of the room’s layout, it was set at an awkward angle to the entry door. Perhaps not all rooms have the same layout.
Plush terry bath robes are provided and very handy when going downstairs to use the jacuzzi or sauna. We especially enjoy the fact that one can reserve the jacuzzi/sauna room for private use.
A cold breakfast is laid out buffet style in a room on the second floor. There was a good selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit, cooked eggs, muffins, breads and bagels. Also juice, coffee and tea available. Which brings me to one other suggestion. It would have been nice if coffee and tea (and maybe cookies) had been available in the lobby area. Maybe this is provided at other times as we were staying off season. The Coast Restaurant, which has an attractive and cozy ambience, provided an excellent dinner.

Stayed: January 2018
