“Quick lunch after little hike”

We stopped here after the little hike up Jockey's Cap to grab a couple of sandwiches and salad. We wanted to sit outside but there were no picnic tables so we ate inside where there were a few tables in the backroom. DH had an Italian sub which was very good and I had a salad with chicken on top. Fair. They had lots of snacking things there to accompany your sandwiches!

Was skeptical at first but really was a lot better than my expectations. Great deli, had an Italian hoagie. I was pretty impressed with it. Offer a good variety of beers and liquors in their store.

I frequently find myself stopping in for Shepherds pie or prime rib or a slice of pizza. This is not a restaurant so to speak. More like a convenient store with a wide array of different foods and bakery items. Worth the stop and always filling. A bit pricey but worth the money.

Not sure this place should be classified as a restaurant as there seemed to be no cooking to order. You chose from items avallablecon the shelves or at the counter as a sort of plastic wrapped self serve buffet - OK, a simplification.

But the goos news is that among the many items on offer there are some gems such as the lobster roll and the chicken salad sandwich.

Yes, the items are a bit expensive but there was thoughtful quality about the place, including in the array of coffees.

So, though it still does not feel quite right, the overall rating is Bery Good

Service was good, friendly, selection was impressive, food was good but certainly not worth the money especially when they are a filling station
