We didn't eat in the restaurant, so I can't comment on that (different menu), but we ate in the pub twice. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the grilled veggie flat bread and the burger. The bartender was very busy because he was helping out in the packed restaurant as well as taking care of the pub area, but he kept on top of everything and did a great job. I hope the new owners do well and are able to invest some money in the building. The original part of the building was built in 1812. The Lucerne Inn is a really interesting looking place that just needs a little updating.

My husband and I recently visited the Lucerne Inn Restaurant and Pub for the first time and what a great find. We've been back several times now and every meal, whether from the pub menu or dinner menu, has been excellent. The owners and staff are welcoming and accommodating and the view is just beautiful.

A nice old inn which seems to attract a lot of interesting characters. We had a spicy Cajun haddock wrap and a juicy veal chop to die for. We got the blueberry pie to go and sat outside to watch the sunset.

This review is not about the chef at Lucerne Inn. Far from it; the food and the presentation were excellent. But as good as the food was, the rest of the experience was that bad. No, worse. So bad, in fact, that none of our group of twelve will likely ever go back any time before the inn changes hands again. There’s a long story behind this but it’s almost certainly longer than anyone would bother reading. Let’s just say that the staff was at best marginally trained (this is being charitable), the service was slow and inattentive (3½ hours for a relatively simple meal!), and the owner completely disinterested in our group’s concerns. Three strikes and you’re out. So Mr or Ms Chef, when you decide that your talents are wasted at the Lucerne Inn and move on to a restaurant that knows how to be a restaurant, let the local folks know. There are at least twelve of us who will flock to your door. In the meantime, don’t look for any of us to return to the Lucerne Inn.

Went to Lucerne Inn Pub for happy hour and Cinco de Mayo. We sat at small bar and were enjoying until a couple with toddler came in and sat right beside us at a table for two. (There are only three or four tables in Pub and I believe all are for two). However, owner brought a high chair and put even closer to bar. Child was not the worse I've seen but he was being a child, dropping food, pulling tablecloth, etc. It was not comfortable for us. There is a large, beautiful dining room in this facility, so why the child in a small Pub? Especially since parents had only Water and tea? My take is to have the discounted happy hour food. We have been in Pubs/Lounges associated with hotel/restaurants that do not allow underage dinners in them. Will think twice about going to the pub again. The chicken wings, bacon wrapped scallops , and chili were excellent so we'll miss those. Perhaps owner could open an area for parents and children that serves the 'happy hour ' menu if he doesn't want to restrict Pub.
