We just spent 3 nights at The Augustus Bove House. We loved everything about it. Carol and Dennis are the most welcoming, friendly and funny hosts. Breakfast was amazing, bed was so comfortable and the room was spotless We loved the area and took it all in. We will be back for sure. Carol and Dennis thanks for making our mini vacation so memorable.

Maybe it's the charm. Maybe it's the convenience. We've been coming back to this Inn for the past few summers, as the overnight stay before picking up our kids from Maine summer camp. The rooms are New England quirky, with "old" feeling upholstery/carpets. There are too many towels but not enough toiletries (tiny bars of soap). The walls are thin and floor are creaky. But we keep coming back. They're a new owner now, they seem just a lovely as the prior. And the breakfasts are just as wonderful. Maybe the new owners will make a few updates to the rooms, like clean them out a little so they don't feel so cramped.

Regardless. We keep coming back. It's lovely.

Carole and Dennis are more than gracious, friendly and accommodating while at our stay at the lovely B and B. The room was clean and comfy. The breakfast superb! Lovely view of Long Lake from our room. The whole house is decorated to theme of an older home and very inviting. The bathrooms in the main house are small, maybe in time an update may be in the works. I would stay here again.

We spent 5 nights recently at this historic Inn, choosing the small cabin for some additional space. It was perfect. The king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was an adequate size with shower stall, and there were always plenty of towels. The cabin itself was kept very clean.
The new owners, Carol and Dennis Hodgkins, are a nice, friendly couple and are working hard to keep the Inn at its finest.
Breakfast was a real treat served in the large, seasonally decorated dining room. Fresh fruit, home baked goodies by Carol, eggs or omelets were on the menu every morning, along with juice and choice of Keurig coffee. I had asked the first morning if they had Pumpkin Spice (which they didn't). Next day we found out that Dennis had gone to the market to get some! Thank you very much again, Dennis, for your thoughtfulness.
The Inn has close proximity to many good restaurants. The shops nearby had already closed for the season, but there's a Christmas Shoppe in town that was open with beautiful merchandise.
In closing, we would definitely recommend the Augustus Bove House to those who prefer the charm, coziness and character of a B&B. See you next year!

Great location if you need a nice clean place to stay in Naples. We rented 3 rooms for the holiday weekend, without any combined discount offer extended (even though I asked) Very Clean Rooms with simple country style touches, and considerate toiletries in the rooms. First Floor suite is the best room by far, other rooms . I recommend calling first and ask very specific questions on the rooms. Front or back of the house, size of bathroom - otherwise some bathrooms are just way too small. Also, all 3 showers had issues. This place has such great potential, and I really hope the new owners will make a greater effort to embrace a true B&B warmth. A warm welcome greeting, to new arriving guests with Hot cider brewing, homemade biscuits or pastries and an embrace like you just arrived at grandma's house .
Unfortunately, I must admit, the breakfast as well is a work in process. But there is a nice little restaurant around the corner and they have great omelets. All in all, we appreciated the accommodations - although on average $175-$225 nite was not a gift, but there is truly no B&B traditional warmth here yet.....best of luck to you both
