What a wonderful campground! I have been visiting Pemaquid Point Lighthouse for the last 18 years, since moving from Louisiana to Maine in 1997. When I moved to NH in 2002, I continued to visit at least yearly with my family. This, however, was the first time we camped there and loved every minute! Emily is so nice, the sites are wooded and shady, bathrooms/showers are immaculate! We cannot wait to go again!!!

What a wonderful little campground, just 1 mile from the famous Pemaquid Lighthouse, and a little further to the beautiful, sandy Pemaquid Beach. Quiet, shady, large sites, lovely family owners. A real jewel. We're spending the whole summer here - and plan to return for years to come . Love this area, and love this location.

We had other choices but selected THIS campground for an overnight stop.
"Select a site and slide the $ under the door, or come back when office is open."
I can't get much easier.
This is a quiet, 50-some site CG with shaded or sunny lots, close 'neighbors' or more remote settings. This was September, so few were here. There are some 'permanent' or seasonal
rigs there for the duration occupying some of the 50 sites.
The bathrooms are small but offer up a hot shower and are kept clean.
Firewood is available.
A very comfortable stay.

This is one of those old fashioned campgrounds that cater to quiet people who want to enjoy their stay in the out-of-doors. It's not a place with lots of kids running around, nor does it have game rooms and noisy playgrounds, although it does set aside an area for kids to play. Other indicators that its an old-fashioned place are the fact that they don't do reservations over the internet and they don't except credit cards. But oh the peace and the beauty here. Each campsite is spacious and most are separated from others by trees or shady grass. The bathrooms are always clean. The shower water is hot and free. There are only 50 campsites here and about a third are taken up with permanent RVers so there's a family feel to the place. Best of all its only minutes from Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, the local craft coop, Pemaquid Beach, and New Harbor where you can catch the Hardy Boat to Monhegan Island or eat at Shaw's Lobster Wharf. The only drawback to the campground was the fact that the showers are not vented so they're always stuffy and humid. You can't even hang towels or clothes on the hooks on the door because the the wood never dries out. But the showers are roomy, and as I said the water's always hot.
