Gave Five-O a second chance after a bad experience last year. Wanted to review it again because our experience this year was a big improvement. Polite, courteous staff, very good service and the meal was the best we had in Ogunquit. I'm putting Five-O back on my recommendation list.

We love to eat casually at Five-O. We eaten at the bar several times and love the ambiance. The bartenders are great! Food top notch Italian nouveau. You can just go with small plates, but there are some great mains here!

Located right in the heart of "downtown" Ogunquit, this high quality restaurant is one of the first reservations we make when travelling to this area. Food is always top notch, with interesting cocktails. You can't go wrong.

Our second visit. We were early birds. We shared small plates. The favorites were the aroncini and veal polpetti. There were a number of reasonably priced wines by the glass. The dessert sampler is brilliant. I wouldn't normally order dessert but we all ( 4 ) enjoyed the sweet ending and each had a different favorite. Service was very good. I was pleased that my water glass was always kept full.

Visited for dinner to celebrate birthdays and were blown away by the quality of the food. We started with 5 small plates (mushroom ragout, veal polpetti, prosciutto, smoked mussels and gran padano cheese) and everything was phenomenal. Some of the best food we’ve ever had. The bread tasted homemade as well and we even asked for seconds which is something we never do.

For our main course we ordered the Agnolotti which had every piece of pasta generously filled with what seemed like no space for air and the Gulf of Maine which was swordfish and perfectly prepared with a great balance of flavors.

Nick did a great job of balancing an informative approach to serving with very low key interactions which made everything seem very natural and unforced while still letting us celebrate such a special occasion.

You definitely need to visit this place. We’re tempted to make the trip up from NYC a few times a year.
