We had a week in Plymtree recently and The Blacksmiths Arms was our local.
We ate there for 4 of our 7 nights as a lot of pubs in this part of the world tend to close Sunday / Monday nights.
The choice of food and quality we found to be excellent and the friendliness of the management / bar staff could not be faulted as they would do pretty much everything they could for you.
If we are ever back in this ' neck of the woods' we will certainly re-visit.
if you are ever nearby, give it a go !

I have eaten here many times. I brought friends and family from Germany with me and all were thrilled by the food, the owners and of course the huge dog called Jägermeister.
You haven’t go far away for really good meals.

I have eaten here many times as well as just enjoying a good night out.
The owners Alan and Suzie are very welcoming to everyone who walks through their door. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They really are a lovely couple.
Anything from the menu can be adapted to your own tastes or dietary requirements as all the food is cooked from scratch. There is a good choice of food on the menu as well as the specials board. Something for everyone. You really can be spoilt for choice.
It really is a great pub with a good atmosphere and friendly people.

We have eaten here twice in the last two months while staying at Newcourt Barton B&B. The Blacksmiths Arms is a real village pub serving great pub food and offering a really friendly atmosphere by both the landlords and the local regulars. We even got invited to the Wednesday night bowling contest next time we are in the area. Highly recommend a visit.
