This was one of the highlights of my time in Portland, Maine. I am so glad I went with Lucky Catch Cruises. The staff was AWESOME!!! It was so much fun being a lobsterman for the day. We helped pulling in the lobster traps, filling the bait bags and putting bands on the lobster claws. The views of the lighthouses were incredible from the water. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking this. You will really enjoy yourself. Bonus you get to wear the orange lobsterman apron!!

We had a wonderful morning aboard the lobster boat with Rachel & Tom. Super friendly, engaging and knowledgeable about lobsters and the variety of marine animals we encountered when hauling the traps. They pointed out landmarks along the way and had historical stories to share. They did a great job making everyone feel included in the lobstering experience and were very helpful with offering to take pictures so no one missed out on the action. This tour was a lot of fun even though we don’t have kids. We purchased lobsters from the boats catch of the day for only $10 each and then took them to the Portland Lobster Co down the dock to have them cooked and plated with corn on the cob, coleslaw, fries and all the fixing for an additional $12. Great experience and perfect opportunity for classic photos. Definitely recommend and will do this again next time we are in Portland.

Captain Dave and Rachel made our private lobster tour so memorable today! Our kids, ages 6, 4, 2 LOVED every opportunity to be hands on during the process and learn about these delicious creatures. Thank you for opening up this experience to the public. Hands down, we'd go back out again next time we're up this way -- highly recommend!

Great fun, don't miss this! Great crew, very enthusiastic, get everyone participating & educational too. Especially the special ed teacher, sorry I forgot his name. All the other reviews sum it up.

At the end we paid about $30 for 3 lobsters which we enjoyed on the deck at the restaurant at the dock, Portland Lobster. We could not finish it all: corn on the cob, cole slaw, baked potato, salad. And lobster definitely tastes fresher and more flavorful when its right out of the water!

A memorable day, thanks to all, hubby and I both loved it!

This was the hi-light of our trip! The staff was so friendly and really explained the process of catching lobsters in great detail. They were encouraging to both children and adults for those that wanted to participate in the activities, but didn’t pressure those who preferred to just watch. I would definitely do this again!
