I waited in line for over an hour, but it's a beautiful location. Delicious lobster meat perfectly cooked and served with butter. Really more than you would usually eat in one meal. Red's lives up to its reputation. Ladies, ask your partner to wait in line while you shop in the nice stores that line this pretty town by the water.

My brother and I were at Red's on 9/14/17. The temp was 82 and still the line was long.
An employee moved down the line offering fried shrimp samples and 20 minutes later he was back offering freeze pops. After standing in line for 30 minutes my brother had to sit down. We had made our way to just 4 people between us and the order window. Someone appeared with a cup of soda offering it to my brother. Then an employee placed a piece of foil with a slice of bread and cheese in front of him. Others asked if he was okay. He wanted to leave and started to get up, I told him to wait and I would get the car. When I got back they had moved him to a more comfortable chair in the shade. Both Red's Eats and customers were caring and compassionate. Thanks to all you Good Samaritans! We will be back!!

A lobster roll at Red's Eats is a taste of the divine - after 3 p.m. the line is much shorter and at 4:30 you can walk right up and order! We shared a lobster roll because there were two lobster tails and the meat of two lobsters on our roll. Because it was late in the afternoon, there were many tables available - oh, it was 80 degrees with a slight breeze off the water. Memories are made of this!

Folks, I'm not kidding you. I've eaten a lot of lobster rolls in my time, but Red's Eats in Wiscasset, Maine is by far the best. We got a pound and a half of clean lobster meat on a awesome locally baked roll for a price that is reasonable, given the amount of the super fresh lobster. Be prepared to stand in line for an hour though, and maybe more. Oh, and try their deep fried shrimp and onion rings. They are addictive! Well worth the drive, the wait, the price, and the village is quaint and gorgeous.

We stopped for lunch when passing going to Camden and it was great. The lobster roll was more than sufficient for one person and was well prepared. The local melted butter to use for dipping was very tasty. We really enjoyed lunch and so stopped on the way back for more!! Well worth the wait.
