We stayed here for the night and enjoyed the pub and the beautiful fire place.
Great atmosphere with tables, bar, or sofa. Food can be ordered too. Nice menu. If you are on a budget, check the menu first. Excellent service.
We enjoyed a great breakfast buffet with plenty to offer while enjoying the ocean views. They are known for their home made granola. See pictures. I would return.
Very clean and lovely restrooms.

We were out for a drive with another couple and wanted to have a good lunch at a good place in York. We went by Wild Willys which was closed on a Saturday, seasonal? And the Union Bluff had a half hour wait & was wall to wall out of state retirees-think one couple thought I was a doorman & needed help getting their luggage in the door. Made quick call to The Cellar, they said stop by, no wait. It was near perfect. Although there were a number of diners, it seemed like we were spread out and not on top of each other like some other places. Had a very nice meal and everyone really enjoyed their food. Two of us had a partial ocean view. The service was great, and even though the waiter had help, he didn't write anything down but didn't get anything wrong. Two of us had the 1/2 pound gourmet burgers and two shared the haddock sandwich and steak and cheese sandwich. We weren't rushed, not crowded, and the food and service were as good as can be. Wish I had room for chowder. I'd recommend to anyone and we all liked the atmosphere from where we sat at the back of the boat.

We had to fight our way in which we didnt' expect in January. We didn't know it but we happened in on $6 burger night. The burgers looked fantastic, but we had eaten a lot at lunch. So we opted for salads with seared scallops. The scallops were some of the best we've had in ages - even in Maine. It was a good-food fun, happening place!

I've eaten that the Ship Cellar Pub several times. The seafood chowder and burgers are delicious and I always order the lobster mac and cheese. Their cocktails are nicely crafted (salted caramel martini is yummy). They have live entertainment some nights which I've luckily, randomly been there for. Great décor and atmosphere. Definitely a favorite place for dinner and/or drinks.

First time visit this past weekend. Excellent food, warm atmosphere, very good service. We did something a little different, our own version of surf and turf. Cheese burgers with a side of lobster and butter (available for $15). The burgers were perfect and the lobster was fresh and ample. This place is easy to miss (right across from the cliff walk in York), but don't, it's worth a try!
