The Levy's home was perfect for our intergenerational family, including a 7month old grandaughter. We were pleasantly surprised by how well the home was supplied and organized , including all the fun stuff too! !
Scott was very warm and welcoming per our texting, phone calls and e-mails for any questions etc.
We hope to come back next year for leaf peeping! The large arched windows on the southwest side will offer a panoramic view not to be missed!!

Amazing place for its location, layout, and superb owner!

1. The location is ideal. It's under 3 miles to Jacobs Pillow Dance, about 25 minutes to Tanglewood, 12 minutes form a large grocery store, and just 5 minutes from a lake that has a nice beach and is great for swimming. Don't worry about researching too much beforehand because Scott (owner) has a handy binder with things do to that is well-organized and complete with mapquest directions for each potential destination. Also, there is another binder that holds detailed instructions for how to use the house (e.g. using the grill, turning on the instant hot water faucet, etc) which make settling in a breeze!

2. The couples in our group were very comfortable; each had their own large bed and private bathroom. This house is well stocked so you really only need to bring clothes, food, and beach towels. Scott let us use lawn chairs stowed in the garage for our Tanglewood BSO picnic. There are also coolers, freezer packs, other picnic staples available for borrowing. The kitchen has lots of appliances, utensils, cooking containers (pots/pans/large bowls), serving dishes, plates/bowls, flatware, etc. There are lots of condiments as well. We set our stuff down, assessed what was there vs needed, then made one trip to Big-Y supermarket (11 miles away) for our one and only grocery run. That first night involved a cookout on the grill followed by s'mores on the fire pit under a black sky lit up by more starts than I remember seeing in a long time with music piping from Scott's sweet Bose speaker (plugged into my iPhone).

3. Scott is great to work with. He was readily available and really helpful for any questions, both leading up to and during our rental weekend. That being said, once you arrive, his informative binders that cover how to work things around the house and things to do outside of the house will preempt all of your questions. In fact, the only question I had all weekend was about the wifi password which ended up being on page two of the binder (and which he kindly answered within 5 minutes via text).

I emphatically recommend this place because of the house's layout, location, and owner!

This was our first trip to the Berkshires and we feel fortunate to have found this fabulous home. It suited our needs perfectly as we were traveling with kids and grandparents. The house is set up ideally for this arrangement since there are bedrooms on either side of the house with living room, kitchen, and dining area in the middle. This gives everyone plenty of privacy. We also really appreciated the en suite bathrooms in all the bedrooms. The kitchen and dining area are nice and open with plenty of room for people to congregate. And the multiple living room areas gave everyone plenty of room to pursue various activities. The owners have taken great care in setting up the house and stocking it with all the necessary items for cooking, grilling,relaxing on the deck or playing games or watching movies. And no need to bring linens or bath towels as they are all supplied. Another plus was the great laundry room. Travelling with two boys and doing activities such as fishing and biking, it came in handy. From the moment I started the booking process, the owner, Scott could not have been more helpful. I had several emails back and forth with various questions and he always responded promptly and courteously. We loved the peaceful area the house is located in. It is about a 15-20 minute drive to the more touristy areas, but for us it was worth it to be in the quiet and private setting of the house. It is very easy to get to and therefore easy to get around to all the great things to see and do in the area. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who wants to feel like they have gone to their home away from home in the Berkshires.
