Until recently, metro-west Boston was a desert when it came to good dining experiences. That has all changed with a number of high-end restaurants settling into Burlington and our go-to choice is ICOB. We booked with an out-of-town guest for Saturday night, a night we usually choose not to go out. While the restaurant was in top gear, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The seafood is perfect; my tuna poke was perfectly diced cubes of glistening tuna with just the right touch of sesame and soy to provide that perfect umami flavor. It is a nice-sized portion for a starter. Our friend had the steamed clams, one of my favorites, which were perfectly cooked in a spoon-it-up broth. The oysters were superb as was my husband's striped bass with white beans. The bread, house-made, is to die for! The wine list has some interesting selections. The waitstaff is superb, making the experience one to come back for. Even on a jam-packed Saturday night, we loved our dinner and had a great time. That's what I hope for every time I go out to eat!
