For take-out pizza, we often choose Panini Pizza in downtown Danvers, They have a number of “special” pizzas (we like the Mediterranean with sliced tomatoes, feta, black olives, and spinach), but we usually get a standard pizza with added toppings. The pies are not greasy and the toppings are fresh; the crust, while not thick, is not as thin as I like. The 12 inch size is enough for the two of us. The menu includes many other items such as panini, wraps, salads, and soups, but we stick with pizza.
Staff are pleasant and always get our orders right. The restaurant is located on Cherry Street, just off of Maple Street, the main downtown street. It can sometimes be difficult to find a parking space in the immediate vicinity, but there are usually spaces available in the municipal lots off Maple Street (follow the parking signs). For our take-out orders, we sometimes drop one person off while the other circles around the block. The restaurant itself is kind of cute, but few people seem to eat there at dinner-time, though there are always many folks picking up take-out and lots of orders being prepared for delivery. In the summer, tables are set up on the sidewalk. Though I’d be much happier with a thinner pizza crust, I recommend Panini in Danvers.
